unknown day - Coco Reef Resort Hotel

on some day (yes, it did get to the point where I didn't know one day from the next...) Barb and I had spent some time looking at the Coco Reef Resort Hotel, floating in the water off their man-made beach. Coco Reef Resort Hotel is a beautiful looking place but is odd in that one doesn't see any local people except as staff.

We had understood that all beaches on the island were public but it appeared that this hotel's beach was off limits to locals. It was an odd and uncomfortable feeling being one of the very few non-white "guests" using the beach and water. As we floated in the water, we talked with an English man and his wife about the feral cat problem the hotel was having -- seems that local solutions to solving the problem do not include spaying and maintenance of the cat population.
