TOBAGO 2002

tuesday :: 16.july.2002

Here is the water wheel which was used for power at Arnos Vale, a former plantation, now a hotel set amidst acres of beautiful rainforest land. It appeared to be pretty empty but we were there very early in the morning so it was hard to tell if anyone was actually staying there.

This would be an interesting place to stay -- but you must have a car to get around.

At the left of the water wheel is Wayne, our guide. I had to use the restroom so we went into one of the buildings. He warned us that there were many bats inside the building so I had to have him escort me to the restroom and escort me out of the building. He was right -- there were many bats inside, a few which swooped near us when we were inside. Barbara did not even enter the building.
