stayed up late last night to finish knitting this, mostly because i needed to know if i was going to run out of yarn before my last stitch.
the tiny ball of yarn in this picture is all that is left:
i had to rip out the border early on because my needle slipped out and by the time i grabbed it back, several stitches had become long hanging threads -- no hope of picking up any dropped stitches:
one of the goodies i picked up at stitches west last weekend was a kit to make zephyr's shawl by lauren scarpo with hand-dyed yarns from great adirondack yarn co. by brigette raydams; kit colorway - watercolors:
it's a little bigger than i had imagined but i'm getting comfortable with it already. i may eventually move the living room around but for now, i'll just sit and enjoy:
